Unlike traditional vented systems that rely on gravity, an unvented system draws water straight from the street mains. The water is heated inside a pressurized, highly insulated cylinder using an external heat source (like a gas boiler or heat pump) or an internal electric immersion heater. When you open a hot tap, the incoming mains pressure pushes the hot water out of the cylinder and directly to your taps.
